The sweets

Typical of the city of Alcamo are the Minne di Vergine (Breasts of the Virgin), pastries in the shape of breasts, filled with a milk cream, called biancu manciari.

Particularly good are those of the historic Bar 900 in Alcamo .

In the same bar I suggest you try theCassata Siciliana , a dessert that needs no introduction.

For cassatelle, however, I recommend taking a tour of the nearby Castellammare del Golfo.

My favorites are those at Bar La Sorgente .

Dattilo is a locality particularly famous for its cannoli, considered by many to be the best in all of Sicily.

If you decide to dedicate a day to a trip out of town (or if you don't mind taking 10 minutes on the motorway) it is worth stopping at the Eurobar and trying them.

If, on the other hand, it's too hot and you want to cool off, there's granita (preferably accompanied by brioche).

You can find it at the Lovely Bar , a bar a few hundred meters from the hotel, where you can also find excellent homemade ice creams and semifreddo cakes.
